Caplugs, Inc., the industry leader in product protection, is continually looking for ways to expand its product lines and offerings to provide the most comprehensive range of protective parts, netting, packaging and hose protection. With the completion of its acquisition of Safeplast Oy, Caplugs has expanded its range of options for European customers yet again.

Safeplast has a long history as a reliable manufacturer of premium hose protection in Finland, offering a variety of colour combinations and product styles that can be customized to meet the needs of a wide range of customers. These product lines will complement Caplugs’ existing Pig’s Tail spiral wrap protection, providing more variety and options to the company’s current customers while allowing Safeplast customers to shop the Caplugs catalogue of over 40,000 protective parts.

Caplugs acquires the current Safeplast headquarters in Finland as part of the transaction. This facility will continue to manufacture hose protection lines and will be added to the company’s overall portfolio of European manufacturing locations, which includes the European headquarters in the Netherlands, as well as operations in Belgium, San Marino and Germany.

This transition will provide buyers with a broader selection of standard products, a full range of specialty wrap products, and a variety of complementary products, providing buyers with a single source for all of their hose protection needs.

In the coming weeks and months, business teams are working on the integration process to streamline the transition for current customers. Furthermore, the current Safeplast team will remain with Caplugs, allowing current Safeplast customers to continue working with their same service and support contacts as they become part of Caplugs’ overall team in Europe.
